Eye Candy's Owner
alena brown
Alena is the proud owner of Eye Candy St. Albert and the heart behind the brand. For her, Eye Candy has always been about more than beauty—it’s about connection, confidence, and community. Over the past decade, she has been honored to serve and grow with the incredible clients who have supported her journey in both St. Albert and Windermere.
After 10 years of owning both locations, Alena has transitioned her Windermere salon to the wonderful new owner, Deborah, who now runs it as Ebun Bloom Beauty. She feels deeply grateful to the clients in both communities whose loyalty and trust have made Eye Candy what it is today.
In St. Albert, Alena continues to pour her energy into building a warm, welcoming space where clients feel cared for and connected. She loves the moments when someone she hasn’t seen in years comes back through the door, and they can pick up right where they left off. Those relationships are what fuel her passion.
While much of her time is now spent working behind the scenes, Alena still takes clients one day a week, focusing mainly on PMU services. Whether she’s creating brows, enhancing lashes, or simply catching up, she brings warmth, gratitude, and precision to every appointment.
Our Story: The Co-Founders
Eye Candy Lash Extensions was founded in 2014 by 2 local Albertans. The 2 met while working as EMTs in the busy Edmonton Metro area. They became instant friends and started getting an amazing “new” service called eyelash extensions. Immediately they were hooked on them. They loved them so much they both enrolled in a lash course together in 2009 so they could do each other’s lashes. It ended up being super popular and their friends kept coming to see them to get lashes! Once they started having babies, they realized that long work hours, variable weather conditions, and lashing was too much. They made the decision to leave EMS and open a salon in 2014. The Terwillegar location was born that year. The salon became quite busy and the girls expanded into the St.Albert location as Alena lives there and saw a need to bring lashing to St.Albert!
Unfortunately the partnership had to end when Jessy and her family made the decision to move to the USA. It was a hard transition for both ladies in different ways, but Eye Candy still holds Jessy in their hearts and passion for lashing!
